BIAFRA: We will only support indigenous peoples of Nigeria in a democratic process,  says US Govt

Following the recent press conference held in Washington DC on the 21st of July, the U.S Ambassador to Nigeria Ambassador W. Stuart Symington made it clear that Nigeria is on the verge of going into extinction. He pointed out the non-interference policies of the United States with Nigeria being a sovereign state matured enough to solve its problems.

Amb. Stuart stated that President Trump has made it clear that Nigeria is a strong subscriber to democratic practices and has embraced democracy which has progressed since 1999 up till this moment. Affirming that America will ensure that every problem and challenges facing Nigeria must be handled democratically, he stated:

“The United States of America will not tolerate any iota of undemocratic practices most especially with the issues concerning Human Rights. America remains neutral as to what the Indigenous people and tribes in Nigeria want for their future which is entirely up to them.  Every individual or group have the right to demand a mandate that concerns their affairs in every democratic setting.

“America will step in consequentially when issues arising from undemocratic practices and the abuse of Human right becomes the order of the day. This is a strong warning to Nigerian government and security forces from the United States of America.

UPP commends SE,SS governors on regional integration

The United Progressive Party (UPP) commends the South-East, South-South Governors on the success of their recent meeting in Enugu on regional integration.

It is a welcome development that will boost social, economic and political development of the geopolitical zones. It will also foster love, peace, and unity among the people and strengthen old ties needed in building a strong, virile, progressive and prosperous democratic society.

The need to address the infrastructural decay, security challenges and provide dividends of democracy to the longsuffering people of the region cannot be overemphasized. This is in tandem with the provision of Section 14(2)b of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999 (as amended) which states, “the security and welfare of the people shall be the primary purpose of government”.

The Governors should articulate policies and implement developmental projects that will raise the people’s standards of living and make the region the great arsenal of democracy in Nigeria and economic nerve centre of Africa.

The public clamour for the restructuring of Nigeria may begin to have expression from the synergy of the nine states that constitute the South-East, South-South geopolitical zones. We recommend that the region may embark as a matter of urgency on the energy needs of the area by disengaging the collaborating geopolitical zones from the malaise of the so-called national grid and install a more productive and economically enhancing electricity projects for the zones that will definitely trigger off economic growth and job creation of unprecedented proportion.

There are definitely other areas of mutual benefits that will make the region an investment destination and tourist attraction to foreigners and Nigerians alike. This wonderful initiative and opportunity must not be lost. History will be kind and generous to the present Governors of the South-East, South-South geopolitical zones who have demonstrated the wisdom to embark on this mission.

The United Progressive Party congratulates the two geopolitical zones and promises to contribute its own quota in actualizing the vision and mission of this initiative.

MOBIN has not adopted any aspirant for Anambra gubernatorial elections

Press Release of the Movement of Biafrans in Nigeria (MOBIN)

It has come to the notice of the Movement of Biafrans in Nigeria, MOBIN that there are allegations in some quarters that MOBIN has adopted a gubernatorial aspirant contesting under the United Progressive Party, UPP as its anointed candidate in the forthcoming governorship elections in Anambra State.

Let it be on record that MOBIN has not adopted any of the seven aspirants under the UPP as its candidate. Any rumour, or allegation pointing in that direction is only in the imaginations of the tale bearer.

For the avoidance of doubt, the goals of MOBIN as a political organization is to search for, select, and adopt Biafra-minded politicians whom all Biafrans will support in elections, and use to replace redundant leaders who are mostly stooges of cabals from the north.

Be also aware that it’s still too early to adopt anyone, since all seven aspirants are indigenous Biafrans. Each has also shown strong Biafran spirit, but MOBIN at this point is activating processes to test this spirit, and confirm those who are Biafrans not just in spirit but also in truth. Whoever emerges at the end of the day shall be supported by MOBIN, which is the official voice of the Biafrans in the UPP, which has been adopted by the same Biafrans as the political party after their heart.

MOBIN has not adopted anyone yet, but will adopt one who will be chosen by the Biafrans themselves. After the period of tests and adoption, MOBIN will activate all of its machinery to campaign and deliver such a candidate who will eventually emerge as Anambra’s next governor, and activate a sure process of realizing the nationhood of Biafra.

MOBIN is a political movement by  Indigenous People of Biafra who are the claimants in the Suit No FHC/OW/CS/192/2013 for both

political and economic emancipation of Biafraland who sued in a representative capacity by the human rights organization called Bilie Human Rights Initiative.
