Rotary Club Donates Walking Aids To Disabled Persons In Edo

As part of its efforts to ameliorate the plight of the physically challenged persons in Edo State,  Rotary club of New Benin District 914, Nigeria yesterday  presented 26 walking aids to persons with disabilities. 
The items presented included 9  clutches,  15 walkers  and 2  walking sticks.
Making the presentation,  Rotarian Magdalene Odigie, the 12th president of Rotary club of New Benin, said Rotary club is known for its humanitarian services  and,  what they did was to fulfill one of its mandate. 
“We go all out to identify those who are in need and try as much as we can to to proffer solution. The items we donated today is to empower those who are in need. Some of them can’t afford it. This will go a long way in their day to day living.” 

Responding on behalf of the beneficiaries, Ebose Henry,  Chairman joint national association of persons with disabilities lauded the effort of Rotary club, saying that they will be better of with the kind gesture. 
He called on other stakeholders to emulate Rotary club in rendering services that will impact positively on the lives of people  especially the less privileged ones.
