The minister of information in the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Alhaji Lai Mohammed has responded to Nigerians complaining of hunger on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, television stations and radio stations due to the lockdown.
He claims that the federal government has disbursed over 100 billion Naira to poor Nigerians and vulnerable persons affected by the lockdown all over the country.
He further stressed that most poor people all over the country have received the money.
Nigerians have been calling on the government over failure provide food, electricity and other means of livelihood.
A few days ago, a woman was rescued after she jumped into the Osun River, crying that she was better dead than face hunger the way its biting since the Lockdown.
In Akwa Ibom State too, another widow and mother or four blocked the road two days ago and said that she just came out to die because hunger is killing her and her children.
