The Governor of Abia State, Gov Okezie Ikpeazu has relaxed the lockdown occasioned by COVID-19 pandemic in the state, four weeks after it was announced.
The Governor made this announcement on Friday 1st of May, 2020 while briefing newsmen in Umuahia. Recall that the lockdown was part of measures taken by the government to check the spread of Coronavirus in the state.
Gov. Okezie Ikpeazu, who announced the easing of the lockdown at Abia Government House Umuahia however, said that all state boundaries into the state remains closed.
