The Chancellor/Proprietor of Gregory University Uturu, Professor Greg Ibe has written to Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu over his Covid-19 status.
Ikpeazu tested positive for Covid-19 after a second testing conducted on him by officials of the National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC).
Ibe in a letter, expressed strong faith in the divine restoration of health to the Governor, whom he described as having made high level of personal sacrifice to the development of Abia State.
The letter, which Jungle Journalist Media Limited got through an electronic message, read in part:
“I received with strong emotions news about the positive outcome of one out of the many coronavirus tests you voluntarily subjected yourself to, as a way of reaffirming your earlier decision to lead the states onslaught against the dreaded COVID-19 disease from the front. This unfortunate development, however underscores the level of personal sacrifice you are willing to bring to bear on the productive stewardship you are rendering in Abia state.
“Therefore as you courageously go through this trying time, let me reassure you of the empathy and solidarity of our people, who have asked me to inform you that even in this, we are with you.
“Consequently, it is my prayer that the good Lord remembers your labors of love, especially in this season, coupled with your fruitful helmsmanship over His dear state, and subsequently visit you with divine restoration of health for with His stripes ye were healed
Do get well soon!”
