The Government of Ebonyi State has lifted the 24-hour curfew imposed on the state due to the #EndSARS violence.
It also directed all businesses and schools to reopen in the state from Monday, the 26th of October. A statement signed by the State Commissioner for Information, Hon. Barr. Orji Uchenna Orji read;
“1. Having carefully reviewed the security situation in the State with the Security Chiefs, Youth and CAN leaders, as it concerns the recent civil disturbances, the Governor of Ebonyi State,
His Excellency, Engr. Chief David Nweze Umahi FNSE, FNATE, has directed the re-opening of Banks and Filling Stations across the state, with effect from Monday 26th October 2020.
“2. The Governor assures all business owners in the state and the general public of their safety and urges them to freely go about their lawful businesses as the situation is under control.
“3. Please, be assured always of the unflinching commitment of our dear Governor towards building a virile and prosperous economy that guarantees the future of all the inhabitants of the state”, it stated.
