Dr Agwuncha Arthur Nwankwo’s final journey home began yesterday, 8th December, as family members, friends and well wishers gathered in his Enugu home for a service of songs, in tribute to the late Igbo icon.
Nwankwo, who died on Saturday, 1st February, 2020 at University of Nigeria Teaching Hospital, UNTH, Enugu, was well known for his activities in politics, human rights defence, publishing.
In attendance were the Ohaneze President, Chief Nnia Nwodo, former minister, Osita Chidoka, The Chairman of Movement of Biafrans in Nigeria, MOBIN, Barr. Emeka Emekesiri, Prof. Amb. George Obiozor, and Madam Rita Anigbogu (MOBIN DG).
Others include the Provost of ATCOI College of Education Enugu, Comrade Zulu Ofoelue, wife to late Biafran leader, Mrs Bianca Ojukwu, and a host of others.
Late Nwankwo will be finally laid to rest tomorrow in his hometown at Ajalli, Anambra State.
