There was wild jubilation in Enugu earlier today, as members of Adoration Ministry, Enugu trooped out to the Akanu Ibiam International Airport Enugu to welcome its founder, Rev Fr Ejike Mbaka.
Church faithful were seen all over the ever-busy Emene road, where both the airport and ministry are located. They drummed and danced and all trooped alomg the road from the airport down to the ministry grounds.
Mbaka, who is the Spiritual Director, of Adoration Ministry went to a monastery in the United States after he was suspended eight months ago.
Jungle-Journalist.Com had reported how the Church was closed down earlier in the year and on June 3, 2022 the Catholic Diocese of Enugu banned Mbaka from commenting on political issues after activities in the ministry were suspended.
Upon reopening, the Church turned the ministry into Chaplaincy to monitor the excesses in the ministry.
In October 2022, the Catholic Bishop of Enugu Diocese, Most Rev. Callistus Onaga, had transferred Mbaka from chaplaincy to the monastery.
Consequently, Rev. Fr. Anthony Amadi was named to replace him (Mbaka) as the new chaplain of the Adoration Ministry Chaplaincy.
