Ohafia residents protest release of Church of Satan pastor in Abia

Some youths in Ohafia, Abia state have taken to the streets to protest the release of Ifegwu Udo aka Lucifer, founder and pastor of the Church of Satan, from prison.

According to reports, Udo was granted bail in the sum of N1 million each with two sureties in like sum. He was, however, released after meeting the bail conditions.

Speaking to reporters on the protest and banishment of the evil master, the president of Ohafia youths, Obasa Ohafia, described Udo as a persona non grata to the community.

His words, “After the incident in Ohafia in which the police station, high and magistrate courts were burnt, we discovered after investigation that the policeman who killed the trader apprentice that triggered the protest came out from Lucifer’s brothel where he got himself drunk before he shot dead the young man.

“Since he was arrested, calm returned to Ohafia, but on Monday we heard he (Lucifer) was released, the same day, an okada rider in Ohafia was killed and his motorcycle made away with. The youths then said if Lucifer could be released and the same day somebody was killed, it then means there will not be peace in Ohafia if he

Obasi said since creation, nobody in Ohafia has been known by the name Lucifer, adding that since the name was strange to Ohafia, it means the person bearing it is a stranger and “this is why the youths are saying no to Lucifer, we don’t want him again”.

Obasi said Ndi Eze Ogo (ruling chiefs) in Ohafia were in support of the protests and have authorized them to deal decisively with Lucifer wherever he is seen in Ohafia.

“The Eze Ogos are in total support of our action, we embarked on the peaceful protest to tell Lucifer he has been banished from Ohafia. We are saying no to Lucifer, he is a bad influence to youths in Ohafia.

The youth leader foreclosed any brokering of peace between Ohafia youths and Lucifer, insisting that if the founder of the Church of Satan could be pardoned and allowed to return to Ohafia, it will be after 10 years according to the custom of the people.

“Ever since he was taken away, our people have been sleeping with their two eyes closed, so, there is no point wanting him back”, Obasi said.

The founder of the Church of Satan in Ohafia Community, Abia State, Mr. Ifekwe Udo, has been arrested by men of the Nigerian Police.

Jungle Journalist Media Ltd learnt that the Assemblies of Light Bearer Greater Church of Lucifer, popularly known as Church of Satan in Ohafia founded by Mr. Ifekwe Udo has also been vandalized and destroyed by the youths of community for the evil it has initiated.

A community youth at the scene who who spoke with our reporter said, “It was a thing of joy and happiness for the people of Ohafia around the world as the founder of the Church of Satan was arrested by federal authority.”

“Ifekwe Udo, also known as Lucifer or Fada-Fada has a question root regarding his Ohafia nativity. He became popular in the past quarter of the decade for his visible efforts in providing employment opportunities for the jobless youths of the community. He gave the jobless youth motorcycles on hire purchase.”

“He later opened a brothel also in Ohafia with allowed homosexuality and unisex.”

“People of Ohafia knew his evil practices but nobody could confront him because of his connections.

“Another eyewitness said he was arrested by the Nigerian Police for violating the lockdown order, child trafficking and terrorizing the community.

As at the time of filing this report, the youth of the community were seen m destroying the satanic images outside the church.

Abia Primary School Adjudged 3rd best in Nigeria

Ebem Primary School in Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia State has been adjudged the 3rd best primary school in Nigeria by the Federal Ministry of Educatioon, Abuja.

The school received the award after a thorough examination by officials of the Federal Ministry of Education who visited Abia State 3 times to verify manpower qualifications (28 degree holders, 13 NCE holders all with TRCN Certificates), full compliance with NERDC curriculum, cleanliness, classroom activity, infrastructure, facilities etc. It will be recalled that Governor Okezie Ikpeazu launched the first school feeding program in the state before the federal government keyed into the program to feed pupils from primary 1-3 while Abia State Government is the only state in Nigeria feeding primary 4-6 pupils.

The governor also constructed 304 new classroom blocks across the state and engaged Australian education providers to train and retrain primary school teachers in the state.

The efforts of the governor have ensured that public school enrollment in the state moved from 142,000 in 2015 to the current level of 648,271 pupils.

Four new model schools constructed by Governor Ikpeazu are expected to be commissioned in December 2018 with teachers’ quarters, science laboratories, electronic and regular libraries as well as other modern teaching and learning materials with a good ambience for learning, all within fenced academic environments to ensure security.

Back to back, for 4 years, Abia State came 1st in West Africa School Certificate Examinations conducted in Nigeria and students produced from the Abia school system have won various local and international performance awards, all thanks to Governor Ikpeazu’s deliberate policies and programs for education in the state.

Businessman and banker, Prince Charles Oko Nkata Saturday 8th September declared his intention to contest for Arochukwu-Ohafia Federal House of Representatives.

Nkata declared under the platform of the All Progressive Grand Alliance, APGA.

The ceremony took place at the Central Primary School Ohafia, where he attended primary school.

Roll call for those who attended include Chief Onwuka Ukwa, who is one of the founders and leader of APGA.

Other leaders of the party present include the National Vice Chairman of the party, Dr Uchenna Okagbue, National Vice Chairman (SE) for APGA, Mr Uche Nwegbo and Mrs Carol Okorafor, who is the National Welfare Secretary and a member of APGA National Working Committee.

Also in attendance along with the Abia State Working Committee was State Secretary of the party Elder Onukwubiri, Ohafia LGA chairman, Prince Onuka and the State Publicity Secretary, Sir Chinwendu Mmadu.

In attendance too were Barr Chukwuemeka Nwokoro, Legal Adviser, Sir Aguocha Marcelinus, ex officio, Amb Okiyi Chigorom, zonal vice charman and Hon Ifeanyi Sunday Ajaero.

Others are Senatorial aspirant for Abia north, Dr James Okoro Okorafor, Uchenna Uwegbu and Charles Nwanyanwu, state vice chariman.
