The leadership of the Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) under Comrade Uchenna Madu has warned perpetrators of violence and public disturbances in Igbo land to put a stop to it.

According to the organisation, in a Press Release signed by Comrade Edeson Samuel, the National Director of Information, members of pro Biafra organizations and Biafrans in general have no intention or plans to be part of any protest or demonstration in Biafra land next week, during the Christmas season or any time soon.

It said “MASSOB received an intelligence report through Biafra Intelligence Agency (BIA) that sponsored thugs are being mobilized to cause violence civil unrest through an organized protest that will throw Igbo land into an unprecedented chaos and military invasion.

“Our enemies plan to use the anticipated pro Biafra protest to cause more devastative destruction of lives and properties of Ndigbo in this Yuletide season. They knew that the month of December and Christmas season is very important to Ndigbo because of our numerous festivities and homecomings. The sponsors of the protest are planning to create tension and insecurity in Igbo land which will frustrate the homecoming of our people for the Christmas festivals and reunification of kinsmen.

“MASSOB warns all the pro Biafra organizations not to allow themselves to be used in formenting trouble and violent acts that will jeopardize the lives and properties of Ndigbo. Ndigbo have not yet recovered from the Obigbo bloody massacre, the city of Aba, Onitsha, Enugu, Abakiliki and Owerri are yet to recover from the destruction of government and peoples properties including all the killings and destruction of our infrastructural establishments associated with the EndSARS protest.

“MASSOB warns that commercial atmosphere of our people should not be disturbed. We shall never allow perpetrators of violence to hold Igbo land ransom, we can no longer allow bloodsuckers to continue in their business of rendering young children to a fatherless state. Igbo land can never be sacrificed for selfish interest of some bloodsuckers who have no investment or developmental projects in Igbo land.

“MASSOB warns hired thugs and perpetrators of violence not to engage in any act of disguised protest or demonstration in Igbo land. Our people need peaceful atmosphere to flourish in their businesses in this yuletide season.

MASSOB warns sponsored and perpetrators of violence protest to stay clear of Igbo land now”, the statement ended.

The Governor expressed the commitment after inspecting various properties destroyed by hoodlums in Aba during the recent End SARS protest. The Governor who described the week-long protest in Aba as a black week noted that there was no ethnic nationality in the country that was not affected by the destruction.

According to him, the wanton destruction of properties during the protest was a self-inflicted injury on our national psyche and the fabric that holds us together, stressing that, “in fact, it was an injury to humanity as a whole”. He further revealed that he was still at a loss as to why such a huge desolation should be inflicted on the society by its own people.

Dr. Ikpeazu who said the loss incurred in the aftermath of the protest was monumental added that he doesn’t know how long it will take to rebuild the damaged facilities. He, however, promised that “we will rise from the ashes of the black week”.

He thanked law enforcement officers in the State for their efforts in quelling the situation and used the occasion to commiserate with those who lost relations as well as those who lost valuables during the unfortunate incident.

PROTESTS: Protect non-natives, Igbo communities in the North, Igbo Group appeals to Security Agencies

A front line Igbo organisation, OCHIE IGBO has called on security agencies in Northern Nigeria to help protect Igbo lives, businesses and interests in the region.

Ochie Igbo in a 5 paragraph letter, signed by its Coordinator, Mazi Benedict Okoro and made available to journalists said the civil disturbances in parts of the country, especially in parts of Rivers State is worrisome and capable of sending the wrong signals across.

While calling on Igbo youths to avoid violence and tow the path of peace, Okoro appealed that the security of Sabo Ngeris (non-natives) is very paramount in the 19 states of the North, especially in this trying times.

It said in parts:

“We write to call the attention of Security Agencies in Rivers State concerning the activities of some irrate youths at Oil Mill.

“The violent activities by a group of young men from the North brandishing matchetes, metals and dangerous weapons, whilst chanting Allahu Arkbar puts people at harm’s way.

“We wish to suggest that these chants have the capacity to create chaos, breakdown of law and order and cause anarchy.

“We urge the Security Agencies to ensure safety of lives and properties in all the Sabo Ngeris and Igbo settlements throughout the 19 Northern States.

“While the dogs of war are baying for blood, it is pertinent that we rise to the challenge of this season; together we shall overcome.

“OCHIE Igbo”.

It’s evil to accuse Ndi Igbo of destruction of property on Lagos, says MASSOB

The Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB) under the leadership of Comrade Uchenna Madu have reiterated our resolve to maintain our principals of non violence in our legitimate pursuit for the actualization and restoration of Biafra.

We shall never resort to violence even though we are being provoked and pushed to the wall.

The nationwide protest, destruction of public and private properties and degenerated tensions in Nigeria including the inability of the government to control the senseless killings of innocent citizens have justified the self determination struggle of MASSOB and other pro Biafra agitators. The current situation in Nigeria have vindicated MASSOB before the international communities.

The entity called Nigeria has been damaged beyond repair. The foundation that holds Nigeria is fraudulent, deceitful and hypocritical, it is going through bizarre fire now. Soon, the remaining carcasses of Nigeria will be consume by the flames of injustices, corruption and nepotism.

Ndigbo have never declared any aggression against the Yorubas or any other indigenous tribe in Nigeria.

Ndigbo did not attack or destroy any government or private properties in Lagos. It is evidently known that armless aggrieved Nigerian youths expressing their in comfortability against the Nigeria’s worst administration were massacred by Nigerian soldiers which resulted to burning of government and private properties in Lagos.

MASSOB warns the perpetrators of the falsehood that is capable of pitching Ndigbo and Yorubas into unpleasant aggression to stop it. Southwest, Southeast, South-south and Middle Beltans regions have formed a greater alliance that will emancipate them from their political subjections in Nigeria. We shall never allow the fulanis to create divisions among us again.

MASSOB also warn the protesting Nigerian Youths to stop destroying peoples properties. The armed less youths should not give room to the President Muhammadu Buhari’s military terrorists to massacre our people or cause more havoc on our people.

Comrade Edeson Samuel,
National Director of Information, MASSOB.

Edo Guber : Oba of Benin Sues For Peaceful Campaigns, Election

Favour Percy -Idubor, Benin

The Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare the 11 yesterday called on political parties participating in the September 19 governorship election in Edo State to go about their campaigns in a peaceful manner.
The Benin Monarch made the call when he received a delegation of the All Progressive Congress (APC) on a courtesy visit at his Palace in Benin City on Saturday.
The APC delegation, led by Yobe Governor, Hon Mai, Mala Buni, were in Benin for the official flag off of the party’s campaign for it’s Edo 2020 Gubernatorial candidate, Pastor Osage Ize-Iyamu.
The Oba said the Palace had not been happy with the recent happenings in the state, and, called on everyone in the state to pray for a peaceful Edo election.
“There is nothing as powerful as prayers. It is even more powerful than the gun.
As you go about your campaign, go about it peacefully and without bitterness”.
The Royal Majesty also reiterated that he remained non-partisan and had never supported any political candidate.
Said he, “we remain non-partisan because of the lay down rules of our ancestors; we must be fathers to all.
We see every candidate as our children and we pray for everybody. It is wiser to leave the fate of the election to God.
“I am not against any candidate; I have never been for or against any candidate but when the people have chosen via the election, we will pray for him to succeed in office.

The Edo State Drama And Misuse Of Federal Might, Kalu Expresses Worry

The National Coordinator, People’s Democratic Party Coalition, Chief Dr Emeka Kalu, a mobilization and good governance advocacy group under PDP, has frowned at what he discribed as worrisome development in Edo State activities.

In a statement he issued to the press, Chief Kalu said that it is pertinent to note that the issue of political thuggery and desperate disposition of the APC, if not checked, may plunge Edo State into deep political chaos too catastrophic to contain.

It reeks of direct misuse of power for the opposition to take law into their hands by standing against majority decision in open confrontation that had been displayed by APC in the past few days. I suggest that we as Nigerians should carefully watch what is happening in Edo currently where 19 lawmakers impeached the Speaker in a private house business while in contravention of this legal process, police took over the Assembly complex at the instance of one man.

Whatever the plan of the opposition and lawmakers loyal to Oshiomhole want to achieve by forcefully moving into the Assembly Complex, I assure you, will not be in the interest of peace and may further plunge the precarious peace into more trained resolve ahead of the election. This is what every good statesman should never wish for his people no matter the desperation.

“I am calling on President Mohammed Buhari and the APC leadership to as a matter of urgency and national interest in protection of the people of Edo State, call Adams Oshiomhole and his followers to order. Power is given by God and can never be forced on the people.

“I am certain that any attempt to force any leader on the people will meet a stiff resistance, I assure you” he said.

Chief Kalu also called on the National Electoral Commission to as a matter of duty ensure they organize a free and fair election that will reflect the choice of the people rather than conform with the desperate nature of “Federal Might” that is being abused in Edo State.
